Robert H. Godin's Obituary
Robert H. Godin, 69 of Lawrence, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021.
Born in Lawrence on June 19, 1951, he was the son of June (Rancourt) Godin of Methuen and the late Robert G. Godin. Robert graduated from Central Catholic High School in Lawrence, class of 1969. He then attended Merrimack College in North Andover. He was the owner and operator of his own painting contracting company, which he took over from his father. In his free time, he was an avid reader and loved watching sporting events, including football. He also enjoyed watching golf with his mother on Sundays.
Robert will be deeply missed by his mother, June; two sisters, Diane Macy and her husband, Phillip, of North Andover and Carol Fiorante and her husband, Joseph, of Methuen; his brother, David Godin, of Honolulu, HI; his nephews and niece, Joseph Fiorante, and his wife, Briana, of Methuen, Stephanie Fiorante, of Glendale, CA, Matthew Macy of North Andover, and Lowell Godin of Honolulu, HI; and three great nephews.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Robert’s life by gathering for his calling hours on Monday, February 15, 2021 from 4 – 7 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. His Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 AM on Tuesday at Our Lady of Good Counsel / St. Theresa Church, 22 Plymouth Street, Methuen. Burial will follow at St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, face masks will be required at the funeral home and the church, and social distancing must be followed.
