Robert W. Gilbert's Obituary
Robert W. Gilbert, 86, of Methuen, passed away on December 3, 2023 in Florida.
Robert was born in Lawrence on October 8, 1937 and was the son of the late Alfred and Florence Gilbert.
Robert was raised in Methuen and was a graduate of Tenney High School, Class of 1954. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army and served during Vietnam. After returning home he owned and operated Gilbert and Sullivan Tax Services in Methuen and later worked in sales for many years. Robert was a very active member of the Masonic Lodge in Methuen. He was also the president of the Methuen Alumni Association and was inducted into the Methuen Alumni Hall of Fame. He enjoyed Lake Winnipesauke, boating and spending time with family and friends.
Robert was the beloved husband of Nancy Gilbert. He was the loving father of Donna Gilbert-Bergeron. He was the cherished grandfather of Bethany Ann Bergeron, Nicolette Jen Bergeron, Noelle Lee Bergeron all of Methuen and all of his family and relatives. He was predeceased by his sister, Millie Gosselin.
