Robert P. Bartlett's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Patrick Bartlett passed away at his home on Monday, April 11, 2022, after a courageous battle with melanoma at the age of 60. Robert was born on April 2, 1962, to William and M. Madeline (Sullivan) Bartlett of Methuen.
He was a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School and had a long, successful career working for the Internal Revenue Service. After retirement, he started his own window treatment company. In his free time he enjoyed golfing, camping, and going on cruises.
Bob was thirty-two years sober and helped hundreds of others work the program through AA. He was a former Grand Knight at the Methuen Knights of Columbus. He could fix anything with duct tape and WD40 and loved helping his family with projects. Bob’s motto was always “God, family, work”. He also loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Robert is predeceased by his parents, William & Madeline Bartlett; and his brother, James Bartlett.
He is survived by his three favorite girls - daughters; Kerry Chesley and her husband, Benjamin of Canterbury, NH, Amanda and her husband, Daniel of Charlton, MA, and his niece, Maura Bartlett of Londonderry, NH. In addition, he is survived by his siblings, Leslie Pownall and husband, Tom of Malabar, FL, Mary Rose Bartlett-Greeley of Methuen, MA, Michael Bartlett of Winchendon, MA, and Marty Bartlett and wife, Rosanne of Haverhill, MA; and his four grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A funeral will be held for family and close friends on Thursday morning at the funeral home. The Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home is honored to serve the Bartlett Family.
