Robert M. Anderson's Obituary
Robert M. Anderson, age 68, of Methuen, MA, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at the VA Boston Medical Center in Brockton, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on April 4, 1956, to the late Milton and Virginia (Popp) Anderson.
A proud veteran, Bobby served in the United States Navy aboard the battleship USS Stribling DD-867. Following his military service, he worked as a pipe fitter and was a dedicated member of Pipefitter Local 537.
Bobby had a zest for life, finding joy in golfing and cherishing every moment spent with his beloved grandchildren. His commitment to giving back was evident in his active role at Granite United Church, where he volunteered on numerous missions, touching lives in Mexico, Guatemala, Turks & Caicos, Brazil, and beyond.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Lauren Clark; and his sister, Karen Coates.
Bobby’s legacy will live on through the many lives he touched with his compassion and service.
He is survived by his daughter, Erin Clark; his siblings, Paul Anderson, Lois Neville, and Nancy Blossom and their families; adored grandchildren, Penelope, Finley, Declan; and his son-in-law, Paul O’Neil. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A memorial service celebrating Bobby's life will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Granite United Church, 1 Sand Hill Road in Salem, NH.
