Rita Lacroix's Obituary
Rita (LaRoche) Lacroix, 102, of Methuen passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Born on June 12, 1920 in Methuen to the late Florid and Leontine (Sylvestre) LaRoche.
Raised in Methuen, Rita attended Methuen public schools. She became a homemaker tending to her family’s needs first and foremost. She was dedicated to her family and her loved ones. Rita also enjoyed reading, gardening, and mostly spending as much time as possible with her loved ones, especially with her grandchildren. She was also a communicant at Our Lady of Good Counsel/St. Theresa’s Parish in Methuen.
She is predeceased by her husband, Lionel Lacroix; two sons, Russell LaCroix and Robert Lacroix; and siblings, Woodrow LaRoche and Lucille Jobin.
Rita is survived by her beloved children, Diane Stackhouse and her husband, Kenneth of Andover, Maureen Foster and her husband, Dana of Methuen, and Richard Lacroix and his wife, Jennifer of Methuen; and grandchildren, Brendan, Jaclyn, Nicholas, Abigail, and Keith. She was also a loving aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Tuesday, November 8, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 9th at Our Lady of Good Counsel/St. Theresa’s Parish, 22 Plymouth Street in Methuen. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rita's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home is honored to serve the Lacroix Family.
