Richard W. Sherman's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Richard W. Sherman.
Richard W. Sherman took his last ride on his Harley to Heaven on Friday, February 23, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Lawrence, MA. Kissed by the love of his life, Cheryl McGuire Brasher, Richard R. Sherman, son, and daughter, Elizabeth Sherman, he went on his way.
Richard was born in Morehead City, North Carolina on August 6, 1953, to the late Richard J. Sherman and Ruth E. Sherman (Trull). The Sherman’s were a large family. He will be deeply missed by his son, Richard and his fiance', Jessica Forrest and daughter, Elizabeth, his brother, Roger Sherman and his wife, Patti, his grandchildren, Layla Rose, Briella Rae and Liam, as well as his mother, Celanire, and many extended family and friends. He also leaves behind his kitties, which he adored dearly.
He was a man of many talents, creating graphic art on motorcycle tanks and vehicles. His job at NRT filled him with so much joy as he had so much love for the children. Being a member of the AMA (Academy Model Aeronautics), he had a fondness for competing inflight model aircrafts.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Richard’s life by gathering for his calling hours from 4-6 PM on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. His funeral service will follow at 6 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
