Raymond "Ray" C. Wrobel's Obituary
Ray Wrobel, 74, of Methuen, died peacefully with his family by his side, early on the morning of Thursday, September 7th, 2023. Ray was born April 9th, 1949, to the late Chester and Hattie (Romeiko) Wrobel.
Upon graduation from Tenney High in 1966, Ray attended and graduated from New Hampshire College (SNHU) with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting in 1968; and then from Merrimack College in 1972 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Sociology. For many years in the 1980s and 1990s, Ray was a valuable member of Pelham Bank & Trust before moving on to Align Credit Union as Vice President of Business Development until his retirement in 2023.
Ray Wrobel was a one of a kind, loving gentleman and a caring soul to those he encountered. His devotion to improve the experiences of his family, friends, colleagues, and community was what he cared for most. He was a member of the Harvard Club in Boston, enjoyed traveling to Washington, D.C. frequently, and loved spending time with family and friends on cruises in the Caribbean.
Ray Wrobel was a former City Councillor of Methuen, Massachusetts. Ray loved working with the people of the greater-Lowell area and has served on the Board of Directors for the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce, Massachusetts Department of Labor and Workforce Development by former Massachusetts Governor, Charlie Baker’s appointment, Nevin’s Family of Services, The Lawrence Partnership, Chair of the Methuen Health Department, Bedford Veterans Council, and many other local non-profit organizations.
Ray, a most loving and devoted member to greater-Lowell and Lawrence area; is survived by his sister, Betty Lynch; brother-in-law, Bob; niece, Jen Haught, and her husband, Matt; Godson/nephew, Derek Lynch. He is also survived by his brother, John Wrobel, and his wife, Deb; nephew Billy, and his wife, Jessica; Goddaughter/niece, Sasha Wrobel, and her husband, Keith; nephew, Jacob, and his wife, Xiaofu Cao; sister, Debbie Oullette, and her husband, Joe; the Leone Family; and Godson, Daniel Leone, and his wife, Ashley.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to calling hours from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA. A Memorial Service will start at 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
