Deb and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Ray and a kind, loving, funny guy when he would come visit you at HFH. My heart breaks for all of you.
Ray, my cousin, my dad’s namesake….I have many happy memories of your parents’ 4th of July parties over the years, you taking the youngest of the cousins (and some of your own nieces and nephews !) for tractor rides, holidays together, your coming to visit us in your dress blues….my deepest sympathies and prayers to you, Deb, Connor and Doug. Cherish your happy memories with Ray.
Semper Fi, cuz.

My uncle Ray, my marine, my ear lender, advice giver & support system. My cooking instructor, archery teacher, my moonshine man. My belly laughs & crass humor provider. My ass kicker and my, “I know a guy.” My confidant, my uplifter, my friend and my solid ground.
“First to fight for right and freedom
And to keep our honor clean;
I’m proud to have had an uncle
In the United States Marines.”
🙏🏼 Until we meet again 🙏🏼
My deepest condolences to my Auntie Deb and cousins; Connor & Doug. We love you.
I've always admired Ray's optimism. Even during tough times, he never complained, pushed forward, and ALWAYS made me laugh with every conversation we've had.
He showed me how to find the good in every situation. He will be greatly missed.
Sending our love and condolences.
Mark and Carolyn Johnson.
Debbie, my deepest sympathy. I remember growing up with Ray as my cousin in my year. I also remember Ray as a young adult. I remember when he met and fell in love with you, he was more than happy almost giddy. That is how I will always think of him.
Love, cousin Diane Plonowski Linn
My favorite memory was visiting Ray at Camp Pendleton. He was so proud to be a Marine.
Also, every 4th of July, all the cousins (28) and aunts and uncles (14 or 15) would gather together.
The attached photo was the cousin lineup. That was the most recent photo of 1966.
My prayers are with you Debbie, you were the love of his life.
Debbie,
My condolences to you and your family. I am deeply sorry for your loss. When Ray and I worked together at NHD Hardware, I called on him often for customer service because he was a great resource and he knew it all. He will be greatly missed. May the blessings of your memories together comfort you in the challenging days ahead.
I cannot thank Ray enough for everything he did with and for my family. My memories of Danforth Bay will always be cherished and forever loved. Whether it was Cinco De mayo, New Year’s Eve, or just to hang out, he was always the one to bring everyone together and I can’t thank him and his family enough. Ray will always be an idol for me to look up too and I will never forget him and how lucky I was to be apart of his journey.
Deb, Connor and Doug,
We are deeply sorry for your loss. Ray was bigger than life, a truly generous and good human being. Our thoughts are with you in this time. May your memories of Ray keep you warm. May the road rise to meet you, Ray.
