So sorry to hear of his passing but what a life! I extend my sympathies on behalf of my Dad, Bill LaRochelle, who always talked about Ray in such glowing terms...what an athlete, what a friend...hope they get together on some field in the sky for a reunion...
Sincerely,
Steve LaRochelle
We will miss Ray. He has been the force behind the New England 65 Runners Club. It was a pleasure to work with him on the board. You knew that if he said he was going to do something it would get done.
Ray's character was one we all looked up to.
Our prayers go out to him and his family.

Donna, you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Your father was such an inspiration to so many. A truly caring, generous and loving man. He is missed. Love, Patti

My wife Maire and I moved from New York City to Rye New Hampshire in 1998. While in New York City I became a close friend of Art Lovely, originally from Orange MA, who lived in the same condo complex as we did. Since Art and I were both retired we found time to take up running. While running Art would share stories about growing up in Orange and attending St. Michael's. College. He talked about the great athletes who attended the college especially Farley and Ray. He told me to look up Ray when I moved to New Hampshire. My first words to Ray upon joining the New England 65 Plus Runners Club and meeting Ray for the first time were " No need to introduce yourself I know all about you from my New York days" Ray and I became good friends and I feel that he was was one of the nicest gentlemen I have ever met. He will be sadly missed.

Donna, I will miss seeing your Dad's smiling face at Walmart. He always had a kind word or a hug. What a sweet man. I am so sorry for your loss. You both are in my thoughts and prayers. Linda Scotti
I remember in detail how Dr. Cormier (Ray) our landlord, cared for me and our family when our apartment was burning with me in it. I had been asleep having worked a night shift at the "Bonsecours " hospital and struggling to breath I ran out from the smoke and flames, miraculously, there he was mid day guiding me into his home and safety. Thank you Ray!
