Raymond J. Charest's Obituary
Methuen – Raymond J. Charest, 67 of Methuen, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019, surrounded by his family at High Pointe House in Haverhill.
Born in Lawrence on May 25, 1952, he was the son of the late Phidime and Edna (Naujoks) Charest. Raised in Methuen, he attended Tenney High School and worked for Local Union 175 until his retirement. In his free time, Raymond enjoyed surfcasting with his buddies, woodworking, helping his mother in her garden, going to the beach, spending time at Moose Pond in Maine, watching Nascar and all New England sports teams and trips to Foxwoods. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a fixture at all of their sports and extracurricular activities and was their biggest fan. They were the light of his life.
Raymond will be deeply missed by his 3 daughters, Jessica Gagnon and her husband, James of Manchester, NH, Elizabeth Burgess and her husband, Stephen of Londonderry, NH, and Savannah Kinney and her fiancé, William Caffey of Methuen and Austin, TX; his step-son, Bradleey Vieweg of Methuen; 3 grandchildren, Jake, Robert, and Callie Rae; and several cousins and close friends.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Raymond’s life by gathering for his calling hours on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 4 -7 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. His funeral ceremony will be held at 7 PM on Friday at the funeral home, with a bereavement gathering to follow.
