Priscilla D. Apkarian, 84, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the Royal Meadow View Nursing Home.
Priscilla was born in Lawrence on July 21, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Timothy Collins and Hazel (Fleming) (Collins) Jacques.
Priscilla was raised in Lawrence and was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1958. She later went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree from Merrimack College. She worked at Raytheon and later worked for and retired from the City of Methuen. She also worked as a Realtor for many years. She was a proud member of the Eastern Star. Priscilla was a very talented sewer having made many of her children’s clothes, including her daughters’ prom gowns. She was also a gifted knitter and crocheter having placed in many state fairs. She had the gift of an incredible green thumb and loved growing various flowers and plants. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Priscilla was the loving mother of Diane Musgrave and her husband Richard of Atkinson, NH, Susan DeMarco of Manchester, NH, and Robert Apkarian of Conway, SC. She also leaves behind her sister Barbara Goodwin of Las Cruces, NM, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a large extended family of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister Hazel Athayde.
A visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA on Monday, November 18, 2024 from 10-11am. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home immediately following beginning at 11am. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, N. Lowell St., Methuen.
Priscilla loved all animals, especially cats, and adopted many cats over the years from local shelters. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the MSPCA of Methuen or local animal shelter of your choice.
