Peter J. Joyce's Obituary
Methuen – Peter J. Joyce, 57 of Methuen, died Friday, July 23, 2021 at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Beverly, MA on July 7, 1964, he was son of the late Patrick J. and Eileen E. (Trainor) Joyce. He graduated from Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School in Haverhill and then from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI with a certificate in culinary arts. He worked as a chef for various restaurants but most recently worked as a manager at McDonald’s. Peter was very family oriented and loved spending time with his family. He also loved to cook.
Peter will be deeply missed by his 4 siblings, Maeve Joyce, Erin Abdulla and her spouse, Paul, Patrick “Sean” Joyce, and Martin Joyce and his spouse, Susan, all of Methuen; his brother-in-law, Joe Fullen; 3 nieces, Jacqueline and her spouse, Kevin, Colleen and her spouse, Kristin, and Kristen; 2 great nephews, Kevin and Landon; his great niece, McKenna; his aunt, Toni Trainor of Billerica, as well as his 2 aunts, Molly and Winnie of Banbridge, Northern Ireland; and several cousins, both here and in Ireland. He is predeceased by his sister, Eileen Fullen.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Peter’s life by gathering for his calling hours on Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 4 – 8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday at St. Lucy Parish, 254 Merrimack Street, Methuen. Burial will follow at St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
