Pedro Lopez Perez's Obituary
Pedro Lopez Perez, 71, of Lawrence, formerly of San Marcos, Guatemala passed away on January 27, 2021 at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. He was born in San Marcos on February 9, 1949 to the late Daniel Lopez and Paula Perez. Pedro worked for many years as a butcher at Mr. Steer in Londonderry, NH and also A & L Landscaping. As a devout Christian, he was a member of the Ministry of Christian Vision in Lawrence. Pedro enjoyed spending time with his large family, horse back riding, traveling and farming. He also collected watches, boots and Guatemalan sombreros.
Pedro is survived by his dear wife Cristina Garcia, also of Lawrence. He was the beloved father to his nine children; his daughter Maria Lopez, his daughter Juana Lopez both of Lawrence, his daughter Antonia Lopez and her husband Victor Gomez of Lynn, his son Bernabe Lopez and his wife Consuela Hernandez of Guatemala, his daughter Margarita Lopez and her husband Antonio Lopez of Lawrence, his daughter Irma Lopez and her husband Zacarias of Methuen, his son David Lopez and his wife Melina Jimenez of Methuen, his daughter Cristina Lopez and her husband Balbino Lopez and his son Pedro Lopez Jr, all of Lawrence. Pedro is survived by 40 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Visitation for Pedro will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 4 – 8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 9 – 11 AM. All events will be broadcasted via a private link on the day of service. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, face masks will be required at the funeral home, cemetery and social distancing must be followed. If you have a health or other underlying concern, please do not attend. Pedro’s family will understand and respect your decision. The Kenneth H.
