Patricia Ann (Joyce) Trombly's Obituary
Patricia Ann (Joyce) Trombly of North Andover, MA passed away on August 25th at age 62 after a brief illness. She died peacefully and was surrounded with love, holding the hands of her closest family.
Patti was born on September 25th, 1957 in Boston, MA. She is joined in heaven with her parents Peter and Rita Joyce, and her stepson Michael Trombly Jr.
Patti is survived by her husband, the love of her life, Michael Trombly, after celebrating 20 years of marriage. She was a beloved mother to Stephanie Jean Cahill, Lauren Patricia Tilton, and Kristin Lee Zanotti; proud mother-in-law to Matthew Cahill and Gregory Tilton, and the most cherished “Nana” to Mikayla, Benjamin, Rose, and Arthur. Patti was a loving sister to her siblings Peter, Pamela, and Paula, and a close cousin to many.
Patti graduated from Weymouth High, and later North Adams College, both of which where she met incredible life-long friends. Patti obtained her Bachelor’s in Special Education at Lesley University and enjoyed a 25-year career as a special education teacher, most recently at Thompson and Bradstreet schools in North Andover.
Patti’s greatest accomplishment in life was being a proud mother and Nana. Patti loved traveling and serving as “tour guide” to Michael, including their trips to London, Italy, Ireland, Aruba, and more. They especially enjoyed their quality time in Marco Island, Florida. Locally, Patti loved her weekend getaways with cherished friends to Cape Cod, Provincetown, Lake Attitash, and throughout New England. She enjoyed a lifetime of family vacations, Christmas dinners, and Rolling Stones concerts.
Patti was a great connector; she had devoted friends from every chapter of her life. Patti had the most generous heart, a wicked sense of humor, and was always full of surprises. She loved sharing pictures and keeping up with her dear friends and family on Facebook. She was everyone’s cheerleader, the first to “like” your picture, and quick with a kind word. She loved life and it loved her back.
Surrounded by their three daughters, Patti and Michael renewed their vows, commitment, and loyalty to one another in her final hour— a love story for the ages.
