Patricia Arlene (Gemmell) Sullivan's Obituary
Patricia Arlene Gemmell Sullivan, 90 of Andover, MA and Ft. Pierce, FL, died on Friday, Jan. 22, 2021 at High Pointe Hospice House.
Pat was known by many as a sweet, kind, classy and lovely lady. She was born in White Plains, NY and a graduate of Lawrence High School. Voted best dressed as a senior, she recently attended her 70th class reunion. She was the daughter of late Joe and Lee (Kinsella) Gemmell. Pat and her husband, Terry, were active members of several antique car clubs, including The North Shore Old Car Club and The Klaxons, as well as The League of American Wheelmen. Pat very much enjoyed hosting the annual 4th of July family reunions, an all day celebration from breakfast to fireworks, and antique car meets, at Shamrock Hill in Andover. Pat loved to shop and was an avid reader, she especially enjoyed The Alex Cross series. Pat was a member of Japanese Gardens (Venice, FL) Women’s Club, St. Clare League of Catholic Women, St. Patrick’s Sodality, and a cofounder and past president of Mother of Twins Association.
Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt, she held a close relationship with extended family. Besides family, Pat was most proud of her and Terry’s feat of saving, moving and refurbishing “The Shattuck Farm” houses on their property. More recently she made her home in the former Shattuck Farm Country Store.
Patricia is survived by three sons and their wives, John Terrance “Terry” Sullivan Jr. and Susan of Derry, N.H., Thomas G. Sullivan and Penny of Marion, Mass., Timothy A. Sullivan, and Cindy (Garland) of Andover and one daughter, Kathleen Sullivan-Dube and her husband, Richard of Andover. Sullivan (Maureen) of Littleton; loving grandmother of Kristin and Richard "Chad" Dube; Nicole and Victoria Sullivan; Heather White, Kelly Bacchiocchi and Laura Sullivan; and Patricia Laganiere and Ann Garcia.
