Ovide L."Joe" Perron's Obituary
Haverhill, Ma. ? Ovide L. ?Joe? Perron died Wednesday November 9, 2011 at Hannah Duston in Haverhill.
Ovide was born in Lawrence , March 22, 1917 the son of Frank A. and Mary Anne (Bourassa) Perron. For many years he and his late wife Cecile had been residents of Methuen, and during World War II he served his country in the United States Coast Guard before his honorable discharge on August 21, 1946.
For over 30 years he had been employed as a welder with the J.F. Bingham Company before his retirement.
Among the active organizations Ovide was a member of C.O.F. and his special interests included singing and he also enjoyed playing cards and Candle Pin Bowling.
Mr. Perron was married for 49 years to the late Cecile A. (Riopelle) Perron. He is survived by his daughter Susan C. Dube of Freedom, NH, granddaughters Jennifer Penney and husband Brian of Haverhill, Elana Brennan and husband Kevin of Nevada City, California, Kimberley Rogers of Bradford, Jason Rogers and wife Maria of Exeter, NH, Sean Rogers of Haverhill, greatgrandchildren; Ethan, Elyssa and Evan Penney, Sarah and Daniel Brennan, Solana, Christopher and Trey Rogers, Tyler, Noah, and Gavin Rogers.
A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday afternoon at 2 P.M. from the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 1 o?clock to 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home
