Olive M. Arsenault's Obituary
Olive M. Arsenault, a life-long resident of Lawrence, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at High Pointe House in Haverhill. Born on October 28, 1930, in Lawrence, MA, to the late Ovila and Amanda (Mercier) LaBerge.
Olive's spirit was vibrant, and she had a passion for life that touched all who knew her. She found immense joy in dancing, her nimble feet creating memories on dance floors that will be remembered with fondness by family and friends. Her love for travel took her to places near and far, and she embraced each new experience with enthusiasm and a sense of adventure.
Above all, Olive treasured the time spent in the company of family and friends. Her warmth, kindness, and infectious laughter created a welcoming atmosphere, making gatherings memorable for all. Her love and generosity knew no bounds, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to be part of her life.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Elmer Arsenault; and her sister, Priscilla Novel.
Olive is survived by her daughter, Cathy Simoes and her husband, Ronald of Methuen; adored 4 grandchildren, Scott Simoes, Chad Simoes and his wife, Colleen, Cristen Viola and her husband, Richard, and Keith Simoes and his wife, Marielle. She also leaves behind her 9 great-grandchildren. Her memory will forever be carried in the hearts of her loved ones. She is reunited in eternal peace with those who preceded her, and her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched.
Relatives and guests are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, December 3, 2023, from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Monica Parish, 212 Lawrence Street in Methuen. Interment to follow at St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to High Pointe House in Haverhill.
