Norma T. (Booth) Hart's Obituary
Salem, NH – Norma T. (Booth) Hart, 87 of Salem, NH, died Wednesday, November 4, 2020. She was the beloved wife of the late Howard L. Hart, who died in 2017.
Born in Methuen on March 5, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Wormwood) Booth. She graduated from Searles High School, class of 1950. She worked as a telephone operator at New England Telephone until her retirement. Norma was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was a loving, hard working mom to her 5 children. In her free time, she enjoyed square dancing with her beloved Howie and spending time at her place at Camp Eaton, Maine. Additionally, Norma also enjoyed long car rides, travelling, shopping, lemon donuts and the occasional margarita.
Norma will be deeply missed by her 5 children, LuAnne Bonanno and her husband, Richard of Methuen, Lisa O’Connor of Salem, NH, Lori Hart Fairburn and her husband, William of Derry, NH, Howard L. Hart III and his long-time companion, Margaret Seale of Salem, NH, and Margaret Cole and her husband, Jeffrey of Manchester, NH; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, with one on the way; her sister-in-law, Mary Lou Booth of Salem, NH; 2 brothers-in-law, Steven Kochakian of Georgetown and William Melvin of North Andover; many nieces and nephews; and her very special companion, her dog, Sheba. She is predeceased by her son-in-law, Robert O’Connor.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Norma’s life by gathering for her Mass of Christian Burial, which will take place at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at St. Monica’s Church, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Guests are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be private. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, face masks will be required at the church, and social distancing must be followed. If you have a health or other underlying concern, please do not attend. Norma’s family will understand and respect your decision.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of one’s choice. The Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen is honored to serve the Hart family.
