Nora T. "Terry" Mearls' Obituary
Nora Theresa “Terry” (Donahue) Mearls, 70 of Pelham, NH passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. She was the beloved wife of 48 years to Daniel J. Mearls Sr.
Born in Lawrence on November 2, 1947, she was the daughter of Dennis and Margaret (Ciardello) Donahue. She was graduated from Tenney High School, class of 1965 and went on to attend Bryant-McIntosh Business School. She spent the majority of her career in the Sales Operations group of Philips Medical in Andover, MA. She was very proud of her work, enjoyed the camaraderie of her co-workers and was often recognized for her exemplary performance. One of her proudest professional moments was being selected for Philips President’s Club Fiji in 2005.
Terry was a constant practical joker and a sleuth at Final Jeopardy. She loved going to movies, crafts, and decorating her home for the holidays and was enjoying her retirement up until the time of her illness. She was immensely devoted to her family and she especially loved spoiling her 3 granddaughters.
Terry is survived by her two sons; Daniel J. Mearls Jr. and his wife, Kristina of Windham, NH, and Michael D. Mearls and his wife, Heather Meier of Renton, WA. She was the proud grandmother to three granddaughters; Emma, Isabelle and Abigail. Terry is also survived by her three siblings; Laurence (Larry) Donahue of Amesbury, MA and Margaret (Denny) Donahue of Pembroke, NH and John (Jack) of Haverhill, MA & she was the proud aunt to several nieces and nephews. Her niece Vanessa was like a daughter to her, she would laugh at her stories until she cried. She was preceded in death by her brother Michael.
Terry’s family will honor and celebrate Terry’s life by gathering for a private service at Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA.
