Nicholas O'Neil's Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Nicholas O’Neil, age 42, on April 18, 2025.
A lifelong Methuen resident, Nicholas attended Tenney Middle School and Methuen High School. His fondest memories often involved his work in construction alongside his father and brothers. Particularly when traveling through Gloucester, he would point out the historic buildings he had worked on.
Nicholas found solace and fulfillment in nature, enjoying swimming, exploring local beaches, and discovering new hiking trails all over New England, with his longtime girlfriend, Sam. He was a very talented and creative artist, whether he was drawing a beautiful portrait or designing a trendy tattoo. Nick enjoyed growing plants to create beauty in any landscape. Above all, Nicholas treasured time with his family and his dog, Lila.
Nicholas is survived by his mother, Deborah (Farnham) O’Neil; his grandmother, Mary Lou Farnham; six brothers, Steven O’Neil, Michael O’Neil and his girlfriend, Danielle Guy, Robert O’Neil, Paul O’Neil, Keith O’Neil, and Michael Vargas; two sisters, Jamie O’Neil and Kaylee O’Neil; his uncle, Michael Farnham and his girlfriend, Pamela Valente; eight nieces and nephews, Alexis, Eric, Declan, Codie, and Hunter O’Neil, Jordan and Kayne McGrail, and Brielle Garrity; and his girlfriend, Samantha Brings. He is predeceased by his father, Michael O’Neil and his grandfather, Kenneth Farnham.
At the request of the family, all services will be private. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. The Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen is honored to assist the O’Neil family during this difficult time.
