Nicholas Morano's Obituary
Nicholas Morano, 82 and a longtime resident of Andover, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2022. He was born in Boston on March 16, 1940 to the late Leonard and Marianne Morano. Nicholas, an American GI, met his wife, Irmgard (Schuck) Morano and married on December 8, 1960. After his completion of his service they then settled in the US in 1964. As a beloved family man he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, as well as getting together with family and friends..
Nicholas is survived by his two daughters; Marion Herrick of Andover and Michelle Pinet & her husband John of Townsend. Nicholas was the proud grandfather to John Dartnell & his wife Nina of Wakefield and Nicholas Pinet of Townsend. He was also the great-grandfather of Giuliana Dartnell. Nicholas is also survived by his two brothers, John Murano, and his wife, Kathy, of Georgia and Silvio Morano of Chelmsford, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Irmgard Morano and his brother, Salvatore Morano.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Nicholas’s life by gathering for his calling hours on Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 9-11 AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. His funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.
