Michael John Sullivan's Obituary
Michael John Sullivan, age 60, beloved son and brother, passed away on Sunday, March 8th, 2026 after a long hospital stay. He was born in Leominster on May 25th, 1965 and was a lifelong resident of Massachusetts.
He attended school in Chelmsford and then Dracut, later earning his GED. For his adult life, he was a longtime resident of Lowell and more recently of Methuen. He worked various jobs including at Freudenberg in Lowell. More notably, he enjoyed and spoke often about, his time as an insulation installer working in and around Plymouth, Cape Cod and the islands.
Michael persevered courageously through a disabling mental health condition which presented many hurdles and challenges. He humbly received much help and touched many lives along the way, including those associated with the Renaissance club in Lowell, where he enjoyed many social activities, and his group home in Methuen. This would also include members of Fellowship Bible Church in Methuen, many of whom he met, along with many who prayed for his practical and spiritual needs.
He was predeceased by his father, Francis X. Sullivan; his mother, Patricia (formerly Sullivan, nee Hicks) O'Malley; and his brother, James "Jimmy" Sullivan. He is survived by his brother, Mark Sullivan of Dracut.
A private graveside service and interment was held on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 11:00 AM, at the Pine Ridge Cemetery, 130 Billerica Road, Chelmsford.
