Michael Joseph Peters Sr.'s Obituary
Michael Joseph Peters Sr. age 62, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2020 in Cumberland, VA after a two years battle with cancer. Michael was born on August 22, 1958.
Michael was born in Lawrence. MA Graduated from Andover High School and West Field State where he studies Criminal justice. After graduation he became a police officer in the cities of Chesapeake & Virginia Beach, VA. In April 1986 he married is wife Deborah and they moved back to Massachusetts and started a family.
Michael began a longtime career with Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems in Andover in 1987 as a Security Specialist Manager and having traveled throughout Raytheon’s various program sites; also deployed to White Sands, New Mexico & Utah for JLens Program. Over Michael’s 33 years with Raytheon, he built strong friendships and created his own Raytheon family. He was respected and loved by all who knew him.
Michael is survived by his longtime love & best friend Deborah Price-Peters. He is also survived by his children & Grandchildren: Michael J. Peters Jr., Lyndsey L. Peters mother of Christian Peters & Julian Ramos, Amanda (Peters) Boivin & her Husband Shane Boivin their children; Natalya Coggins (Peters) & Jaycob, Joshua, & Savannah Boivin. His is also survived by his sister Lisa Sullivan & brother Robert Peters
The final days of Michael’s life were spent with all his children, grandchildren, brother and sister in celebration of a life event that brought all of us together days before his passing. He will forever remain in the hearts of all who loved & cared for him.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours, beginning promptly at 7:00 PM. Due to the current ongoing global pandemic, facial coverings are required to attend both the calling hours and the funeral service.
