Michael DeBenedetto's Obituary
Michael DeBenedetto, 69 of Methuen, passed away on September 10, 2021.
Born in Methuen on May 23, 1952 he was the son of the late Louis J Sr. and Theresa (Roderick) DeBenedetto. Michael graduated from Tenney High School in Methuen and pursued a long successful career as a truck driver. He had been driving for Market Basket for almost 30 years and was very proud of his million mile truck.
Michael had a larger than life personality and many friends knew him as “Alice”. He enjoyed model trains and watched countless hours of train videos. Michael loved to spoil his dogs and considered them part of the family.
Michael was loved by many and will be missed deeply by his loving daughters, Stacey and Melissa. He is also survived by his brother Louis J Jr, his wife Christine, as well nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his wife Charlene (Budrevich) DeBenedetto.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Michael's life by gathering for his calling hours on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday September 22, 2021 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, 22 Plymouth St. Methuen. Guests are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s memory may be made to the MSPCA Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway Methuen, MA 018844.
