Maureen J. Jordan's Obituary
Maureen Joyce (Gavin) Jordan, 82, passed away Monday, July 10, 2023, at Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord, NH.
Born in Newburyport, MA, on September 4, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Marjorie (Quill) Gavin. Maureen graduated from Haverhill High School. After raising her three sons, she later had a successful career as a Regional Administrator for SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals. She was an active parishioner at St. Peter Parish in Auburn, where she was involved with the Walking With Purpose women's bible study group.
Maureen was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, John J. Jordan; and her sister, Patricia.
She is survived by her sons, Timothy, John and James Jordan; five grandchildren; her sister, Judith Duffy; and her brother, Donald Gavin; as well as her nieces, nephews and close friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 8:30 AM until 10:15 AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 15th at St. Monica Parish, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, 130 North Lowell Street, Methuen. Donations in Maureen's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
