Maureen A. Flynn's Obituary
Maureen Flynn, 61, of Beverly, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born in Methuen, MA, on December 5, 1963, she was the beloved daughter of the late Frederick and Josephine (Jacobs) Donnelly. Raised and educated in Methuen, Maureen went on to build a dedicated career as a bookkeeper in many different industries.
Maureen had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending sunny days at the beach, exploring new places through travel, enjoying evenings out for dinner, and unwinding with her favorite mystery shows—especially Murder, She Wrote. Her greatest joy came from time spent with her family, and her cherished sunroom served as her personal sanctuary, bringing her peace and contentment.
In addition to her parents, Maureen was predeceased by her sister, Kim Dowd.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, John D. Flynn of Beverly; her cherished daughters, Jackie Flynn and her husband, Aaron Godin of Beverly, and Jessie Flynn and her partner, Connor Murray of Salem, MA; her treasured grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Frank Dowd of Methuen. Maureen also leaves behind several extended family and friends.
Relatives and guest are respectfully invited to attend calling hours at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen on Monday, September 15, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 10:30 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, 130 N. Lowell Street in Methuen. Donations in her memory may be made to the National Kidney Association via www.kidney.org or American Cancer Societyu via www.cancer.org.
