Maryann Lane's Obituary
Maryann (Marcinonis) Lane, 76, of Methuen, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of David T. Lane, to whom she was devoted for 53 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Methuen on July 14, 1949, Maryann was the cherished daughter of the late Joseph A. and Claire M. (Pendergast) Marcinonis. A proud graduate of St. Patrick High School in Lawrence's class of 1967, she continued her passion for learning by earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Salem State College in 1971. Maryann's curiosity about the past ran deep; she was a dedicated genealogist who meticulously traced her mother’s family lineage all the way back to the Civil War, uncovering stories that connected generations and brought history vividly to life. A tender-hearted animal lover, she shared her home and heart with her two beloved dogs, Lulu and Bailey, whose playful energy and unwavering loyalty filled her days with joy. But nothing brought Maryann greater fulfillment than her role as "Gigi" to her grandchildren—a title she wore with boundless pride, cherishing every giggle, milestone, and moment spent creating lasting memories together.
Maryann will be deeply missed by her husband, David; her two loving daughters, Jaime Lane and her husband, Christopher, of Methuen, and Kelly Lane Collins and her husband, Brian, of Methuen; her cherished grandchildren, Lane and Gray; and her three nephews, Michael, James, and Sean. She was predeceased by her brother, Jack Marcinonis.
Reflecting Maryann’s wishes, all services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844 or at: www.mspca.org.
