Mary Swan's Obituary
Mary Swan, age 102 of Sandown and formerly of Methuen passed away peacefully on December 3, 2021. Mary was born in Portsmouth on January 9, 1919 to the late Edward and Bernice (McDonough) McCabe. She was a former communicant of St. Monica’s Parish. During her life time, Mary was a homemaker and then went on to work for Western Electric and the Howe Street Superette. She enjoyed hosting holidays at her house, her home was always open to anyone. Mary enjoyed cooking and baking. Her famous apple pies will be missed by her family.
Mary was the beloved wife of the late Frank Swan. She was the devoted mother of Patricia Morin, Frank Swan and his wife Audrey, John Swan and his wife Elizabeth, and Joseph Swan and his wife Karen. Mary is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson. She is predeceased by her grandson Kevin Morin. A special thank you to Mary’s granddaughter, Michelle Seager for all the care she provided to her grandmother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Monica’s Parish, 212 Lawrence St. Methuen. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
