Mary Sandra Poirier's Obituary
Mary Sandra Poirier, age 79, of Andover went home to be with the Lord on December 3, 2024
Sandra was born in Lawrence, MA on February 24, 1945 and was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Rita T. (Dube) Demuysere.
Sandra was raised in Andover and was a graduate of Andover High School, Class of 1963. After high school she began to raise her daughter Rhonda and worked for the Andover Companies as an Insurance Clerk. She was a born again Christian and loved God. She loved sunrises, the beach, watching Hallmark and shopping with her daughter and best friend Joy Stanton. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sandra was the beloved wife of the late Leo Poirier, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Rhonda Poirier of Andover and the cherished grandmother of Brendin Gounouf of Andover, and Sarah West of FL. She was the great-grandmother of Damien, Dominic, Gracelyn, and Gabriele. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral services are private. Arrangements are in the care of the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen.
