Mary H. Ouellette's Obituary
Mary H. (Galvin) Ouellette, age 98, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at The Residence of Salem Woods, Salem, NH. She was born on April 27, 1925 in Dorchester, MA to the late Mary and Denis Galvin. She was their only daughter. She grew up in Boston, MA, before moving to Windham, NH to live on Cobbetts Pond for many years. For the past 7 years, Mary has lived at The Residence of Salem Woods, in Salem NH, who loved and cared for her each and every day.
She was a spectacular artist who loved painting and sharing her work with others. She also enjoyed reading, knitting, making teddy bears, and being around her family. She will be remembered by all for her strong will and sassy attitude.
Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, Conrad Ouellette. Mary and Conrad were married for nearly 50 years. They enjoyed relaxing on Sanibel Island, traveling with friends, skiing, and living on Cobbetts Pond. Mary was also predeceased by her beloved niece, Sandra Bouchard. Sandra and Mary enjoyed going out to lunch together and sharing stories about their past.
Mary is survived by her only son, Henry Ouellette; and her only granddaughter, Chelsea Ouellette and her fiancé, BoJames Bandanza; her only brother, Denis Galvin and his wife, Martha Galvin. Mary is also survived by many other family members that include: Cindy (Bouchard) Letourneau and her husband, Brian Letourneau, and their children Timothy and Jeffery; Melissa (Bouchard) Zuccola and her husband, Joseph Zuccola, and their children Felicia and Joseph; Janet Ouellette; Wade Anderson and his wife, Holly Anderson, and their children Nicholas and Jack; Carrie (Anderson) Paquette and her husband, Greg Paquette, and their children Epke and Atlin.
There are no words that can express how grateful the family is to The Residence of Salem Woods and Amedisys Hospice Care for caring for Mary until the very end.
Relatives and guests are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at St. Monica Parish, 212 Lawrence Street in Methuen. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, 130 North Lowell Street in Methuen.
