Mary Jean B. Grandmaison's Obituary
Mary Jean B. (Roy) Grandmaison, of Methuen, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024 at the Lawrence General Hospital.
Mary Jean was born in Van Buren, Maine on March 5, 1952 and was the daughter
of the late Pierre and Artheline (Lavoie) Roy.
Mary Jean was raised in Maine and was a graduate of St. Ann’s High School in
Lawrence. After high school she began working at Cardinal Shoe company in
Lawrence before retiring from Malden Mills. Mary Jean always had a smile on her
face and welcomed everyone with open arms. She was very social and enjoyed
visiting with friends and family. She never missed a birthday, anniversary, or a
holiday without letting her friends and family know she was thinking of them.
Mary Jean especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Mary Jean was the beloved wife of Rosaire Grandmaison. She was the loving
mother of David Grandmaison of Methuen, Karen Lavertue and her late husband
John of Salem, NH., Tina McKelvey and her husband Nick of FL. She was the
cherished grandmother of Dylan, Emily, Michael, Jaina and the late Lauren. She
was predeceased by her siblings, Ronald Roy, Harvey Roy, Rosanne Gravel and
Geraldine Thibodeau.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Rd, Salem, NH on
Monday, October 7th at 12:00pm. Guests are kindly asked to meet directly at church. There will be no procession from the funeral home.
