Mary P. Campbell's Obituary
Holden, MA – Mary P. (Scheidegger) Campbell, 65 of Holden, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved and devoted wife of Robert W. Campbell, to whom she was married for 45 years.
Born in Rock Springs, WY, Mary was the daughter of the late Alden L. and Patricia M. (McDonnell) Scheidegger. She graduated from Pentucket Regional High School, class of 1972. In 2014, she graduated from Northern Essex Community College with a certificate in computer science. Mary held many jobs throughout her life including hairdressing, banking and school administration. Her most important career, however, was caring for her twin granddaughters, who were the love of her life. Mary greatly enjoyed many outdoor activities, including working in her flower and vegetable gardens, walking and kayaking.
Mary will be deeply missed by her husband, Robert; her daughter, Rachel Mangan and her husband, John of Holden; 2 granddaughters, Ayla and Leah; her sister, Trudy Rand; 6 brothers, Joseph, Thomas, James, Stephen, William, and Richard Scheidegger; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother David Scheidegger.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Mary’s life by gathering for her calling hours on Sunday, October 6, 2019 from 1 – 5 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Her Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 AM on Monday at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
