Mark D. Hilse's Obituary
Mark D. Hilse, 61, of North Andover, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA.
Born on July 31, 1964, Mark was the beloved son of the late Walter and Jean (Arsenault) Hilse. A proud graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1982, he built a foundation of learning and integrity that guided him throughout his life.
Mark’s passions were as diverse as they were deep. A devoted Boston sports fan, especially of the Patriots, he could always be counted on to cheer for his hometown teams. Professionally, Mark worked as a tax professional for the Internal Revenue Service in Andover, where he was respected for his dedication and professionalism until his illness.
Beyond his work and hobbies, Mark’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. His sense of humor was unparalleled, and he cherished every gathering, holiday, and shared laugh.
Mark will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his brothers, Thomas Hilse and his wife, Deborah of North Andover, MA, Scott Hilse and his husband, Richard Payeur of Lawrence, MA, sister-in-law, Doreen Hilse, nephew, Daniel Hilse of Derry, NH, niece, Crystal Hilse of Haverhill, MA, nephew, Robert Hilse of Lawrence, MA. Mark was predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Hilse.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Theresa Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, 22 Plymouth Street in Methuen, all guest are asked to meet directly at the church. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 80 Corbett Street, Andover, MA.
