Marilyn A. Kenney's Obituary
Marilyn A. (O’Leary) Kenney, age 85 of Hampstead passed away peacefully at her home on December 27, 2017. Marilyn was born in Methuen on January 16, 1932 to the late William and Julia (Milmore) O’Leary. She was a graduate of both St. Mary’s High School and St. Elizabeth’s School of Nursing. Marilyn was a former R.N. at Colonial Poplin Nursing Home in Fremont, NH. She devoted her life to her husband and family.
Marilyn was the beloved wife of the late Martin J. Kenney Sr. with whom she shared 58 years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Martin J. Kenney Jr. and his wife Rosalyn of Sandown, NH, William P. Kenney and his wife Karen of Londonderry, NH, Michael P. Kenney and his wife Sheryl of Lincoln, RI, Julie Green and her husband Stephen of Braintree, MA, and Timothy J. Kenney and his wife Cari of Hampstead, NH and the late Christopher Kenney. Marilyn was the dear sister of Claire Graham and her late husband Robert, and Sheila Kennedy and her husband William. She was the loving grandmother of 10 and the cherished great grandmother of 4.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel-St. Theresa’s Parish, 22 Plymouth St. Methuen. Per Marilyn’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marilyn’s memory may be made to Bread and Roses, 58 Newbury St. Lawrence, MA 01840.
