Marilyn E. DiOrio's Obituary
Marilyn E. DiOrio, age 88 of Salem, NH passed away on February 27, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at Salemhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Lawrence on July 12, 1930 to the late Leo and Mary (Kaslow) Gagnon. Marilyn was a graduate of St. Patrick’s High School and received her degree in nursing from St. Elizabeth’s School of Nursing in Brighton. Marilyn’s life was her family, she loved holidays and family gatherings. A loving and devoted wife, daughter, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, she will be sorely missed.
Marilyn was predeceased by her husband Thomas D. DiOrio, her parents Leo and Mary (Kaslow) Gagnon, her brother Richard Gagnon and her brother-in-law Anthony DiOrio.
Marilyn is survived by her daughters; Linda Trudel and her husband Roger, Sharon Canzano and her husband Anthony, and Marilyn McCarthy and her husband Dennis, her grandchildren; Bryan Trudel, Jennifer Trudel-Alusic, Jason Canzano, Kristen Pacchioni, Allison Carvalho, Meredith McCarthy, and Paige Petroni, her great-grandchildren; Carley Trudel, Bailey Trudel, Ryan Ouellette, Jacob Ouellette, Hugo Alusic, Ingrid Alusic, Sabrina Canzano, Luciana Canzano, Gabriella Carvalho, and Juliana Carvalho, her sister Nancy Tobey and her husband William, and her sisters-in-law; Virginia Gagnon and Dorothy DiOrio.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Salemhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Amedisys Hospice and The Residence at Salem Woods for the care and support that was given during Marilyn’s illness.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Monday, March 4, 2019 from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Matthew’s Parish of Windham, NH. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery of Methuen.
