Maria L Machado's Obituary
We are completely heartbroken to announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Maria L Machado. She passed away peacefully at the age of 57, on the evening of March 18, 2023, surrounded by family and friends.
Our mom was full of love and life. She spread joy everywhere she went and she smiled until her very last days. She loved to spend time with her loved ones (especially her husband, Luis, her children, and grandchildren), make people laugh, listen to music, and serve her customers for 24 years at Dunkin' Donuts. She was known for her big smile, enormous heart, and the tightest hugs.
She leaves behind the love of her life, Luis Machado, to whom she was married for 39 years; her children, Sabrina and Jonathan Machado; their spouses, Oz Uysal and Alison Machado; granddaughters, Rabia, Beril, Sofia, and Isabella Uysal; her siblings, Olga Silva, Natalie Doyle, Nina Faria, Diane Maddox-Faria, Luis Faria, Delio Faria, Joseph Faria, and Victor Faria; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and her beloved friends and co-workers.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Maria Faria, her brother, Liduino Faria, and her in-laws, Manuel and Fatima Machado.
Her life was a blessing and her memory is a treasure that we will forever cherish. Our deepest gratitude is extended to everyone who helped care for her.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Maria’s life by gathering for her calling hours on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 4 – 8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Guests wanting to be part of the funeral procession to church should arrive at the funeral home by 10:15 AM on Wednesday. Burial will follow at St. Mary/Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Maria’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or at www.stjude.org. The Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home is honored to serve the Machado family.
