Maria Romana (Camara) Farias' Obituary
Maria Romana (Camara) Farias, age 88 of Methuen MA passed away peacefully on Sunday July 12, 2020. Maria was born on April 9, 1932 in San Miguel, Azores, Portugal to the late Antonio and Maria Gloria (Farias) Camara. She was an assembler at Howard Sweet and Son Jewelers of Attleboro. Maria enjoyed cooking, cleaning, gardening, and taking care of her family. She was a devoted former attendee of Conquerors for Christ church of North Dartmouth, MA. Maria touched many lives in many different circles and will fondly be loved, cherished and missed by all.
Maria was the beloved wife of the late John Farias. She was the devoted mother of Bert Farias and his wife Carolyn of Windham, NH, Roy Farias and his wife Elizabeth of Methuen, MA. Maria was also the loving grandmother of Daniel Farias of Atlanta, GA. She was the dear sister of the late Maria Conceicao Benevides, the late Manuel Camara, and the late Antonio Tome Camara. Maria is also survived by her sister Maria Lourdes Castro and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Maria will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 11 AM at the Elmwood Cemetery, 110 North Lowell Street, Methuen. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home is proud to serve the Farias family.
