Marguerite M. Pinto's Obituary
Marguerite M. Pinto of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully in her home Saturday, July 29th, 2023, on her 88th birthday with her son by her side, after a brief illness. Marguerite was born in Methuen in 1935, to the late Jeremiah and Jennie (Herbert) O'Connor of Lawrence, MA.
Marguerite attended Saint Augustine's School and was a 1953 graduate of Lawrence High School. She was employed in the security office at Raytheon in Andover for several years before taking a long hiatus from work. She later returned to work at the Holy Family Hospital switchboard office in Methuen for many years until her early retirement. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, house decorating, and yard work.
She was the widow of the late Eugene V. Pinto, and is survived by her son. James Pinto of Methuen, MA; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Marguerite's life by gathering for her calling hours from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Friday, August 4, 2023 at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Her funeral service will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Mausoleum Cemetery in Lawrence. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
