Marguerite Anne (Duffy) Mullin's Obituary
Marguerite Anne (Duffy) Mullin, 84 of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 12, 2018 at the High Pointe House in Haverhill. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert M. Mullin, Sr.
Born in Lawrence on June 9, 1934, she was the daughter of John and Agnes (Karneth) Duffy. She graduated from Searles High School, class of 1952, and then earned her bachelor’s degree from New England Conservatory of Music. She worked as a medical secretary with Dr. Ralph J. Palermo’s office in Lawrence for 30 years until her retirement. She also owned Pinewood Reality.
Marguerite was a communicant at St. Monica’s Church, where she was a member of the choir, the Padre Pio Group, the Legion of Mary, and taught CCD. She was also a concert violinist with the Merrimack Valley Philharmonic Orchestra. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her friends.
Marguerite will be deeply missed by her 2 sons, George F. Mullin and his wife, Corliss of Haverhill and Robert M. Mullin, Jr. and his wife, Anne F. of Dracut; 4 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Christopher and his wife, Toni, Ashley, and Allen; 2 great grandchildren, Tyler and Joshua; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her grandson, Robert Mullin III, 2 brothers, Fred and Ray Duffy, and her sister, Claire Duffy Nartiff.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Marguerite’s life by gathering for her calling hours at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 9:00 – 10:30 AM. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday at St. Monica’s Church, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
