I had Miss Gunning for forth grade at E. G. Sherburne school. She was absolutely my favorite teacher ever. I would wait for her in the morning and go to class and clap erasers for her. I. Used to see her in the summers at Sandy beach. Years later I saw her at Memorial school and she gave me a hug and we talked. The year she was a Marshall at parade for Old home day and we said we would get together at her home. I bought her a small gift but never got to give to her. It was a chalkboard eraser that said "Memories of a good teacher are hard to erase."
