Manuel Torres' Obituary
Manuel Torres, age 79, a resident of Hudson, New Hampshire, passed away
peacefully on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH. He was
born on August 6, 1944, in Cayey, Puerto Rico, to the late Candido and Heriberta Rodriguez Torres.
Manuel’s life was a vibrant journey filled with laughter, love, and a genuine appreciation for the simple pleasures. Born and Raised in Puerto Rico until settling in Lawrence, MA in the 1960’s. Manuel started off working in construction before ultimately retiring from Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. His love for play and adventure was evident in his favorite pastimes. He enjoyed the game of Bingo, trips to the casino,
gardening, and the excitement of playing dominoes.
He was predeceased by his love, Marion Cora Torres; and his 4 siblings.
Manuel is survived by his beloved children, Domingo Cora of Lawrence, Mark Cora of Lawrence, and Nydia Torres of Hudson, NH; adored grandchildren, Calie Cora of Hudson, NH, and Zakkari Cora of Lawrence; great-granddaughter, Savannah Cora of Hudson, NH; and 5 sisters and 2 brothers. In addition, he leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 9:00 until 11:00 AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. Immediately following calling hours, a graveside service will be held at St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
