Madelyn G. Platek's Obituary
Madelyn G. (Zambino) Platek, 99 of Methuen, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021 at the Holy Family Hospital. She was born in Lawrence on June 7, 1922 to the late Rocco and Martha (Torromeo) Zambino. Madelyn attended the Bruce Grammar School and graduated from Lawrence High School, Class of 1940. She was a long time supervisor at Jo-Gal Shoe Company of Lawrence. Madelyn was an avid reader. She enjoyed traveling and will be remembered as a great cook.
Madelyn was the beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Platek. She was the devoted mother of Cheryl Ann Platek. Madelyn was the dear sister of Rocco Zambino and Louis Zambino. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Madelyn’s family would like to give a special thank you to Margaret for all of the wonderful care she provided for many years.
