Lorraine E. Vachon's Obituary
Lorraine E. (Picard) Vachon, 87, long time resident of Methuen, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023.
Born in Biddeford, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Noel and Clara (Labbe) Picard. She worked at Mount Carmel Parish Rectory as a housekeeper and cook. Lorraine was a devout Catholic, who was involved in the Third Order of Mary and the Consolers of Mary and Jesus. She participated in numerous prayer groups and made thousands of rosaries that were delivered to the underprivileged. She loved playing cards and board games with family and listening to country music.
Lorraine will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons, Kenneth Vachon of Litchfield, NH, Kevin Vachon of Methuen, MA, daughters, Arlene Vachon of Hudson, NH, Joyce Charette, and her husband, John of Hudson, NH, Kristin Manning, and her husband, Matt of Derry, NH, sister, Yolande Weston of Gilmanton, NH, grandchildren, Brendon and Corey Vachon, Peter and Eric Yeaton, Matthew Manning, four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters Helen Rizas, Jacqueline Proctor and Dorothy Poirier.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to call on Friday September 22, 2023, from 9 AM to 10 AM, at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM, at St. Monica Parish, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA.
