Lorraine R. Roy's Obituary
Lorraine R. (Quintal) Roy 87, of Plano, Texas, passed away November 15, 2021 in Plano, Texas. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerard O. Roy.
Lorraine was born May 12, 1934, the daughter of the late Armand and Cecile (Vallière) Quintal. She worked for the IRS for thirty years, in Lawrence and Andover, MA.
Lorraine will be deeply missed by her step-children, Roseann Kennedy and her husband Joseph, of New York, Debora Ferris and her husband Joseph, of New Hampshire; daughter-in-law, Mary Roy of Virginia; her sister, Rita Humphrey of Texas; brother-in-law, Robert Bedard of Virginia; 6 Grandchildren, 11 Great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
She is pre-deceased by her step-son, Gerard A. Roy, great granddaughter, Marissa Kennedy, and brother-in-law Bernard D. Humphrey. Lorraine’s sister, Claire Bedard, recently passed on May 23, 2022.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Lorraine’s life by gathering for her calling hours, which will be celebrated from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Friday, June 24, 2022 at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 24th at St. Lucy’s Parish, 254 Merrimack Street, Methuen. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover.
