Lorraine Dorothy (Gallant) Leone's Obituary
Lorraine D. (Gallant) Leone, age 94 passed away on February 4, 2018. Lorraine was born in Lawrence on January 18, 1924 to the late Armand and Aline Gallant. She was a switchboard operator for Holy Family Hospital for many years. Lorraine was very devoted to her family. She was a former communicant of St. Lucy’s and she also volunteered at Holy Family Hospital.
Lorraine was the devoted mother of Joseph Leone and his wife Theresa of Methuen, Ken Leone of Methuen, and Celeste Ulrich and her husband Richard of Williston, FL. She was the loving grandmother of Elisa Jordan, Bridgette Pacheco, Christine Leone, Kenneth Leone Jr., and Kim Joslin. Lorraine was the cherished great grandmother of Kellan, Aidan, Gabriella, Alexandra, Brian, John, William, and Isabella. She was the dear sister of Ruth Lavalle, the late Clifford Gallant, the late Ronald Gallant, and the late Flossie Roy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours, beginning promptly at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery of Methuen. Donations in Lorraine’s memory may be made to Mary Immaculate Nursing Center, 172 Lawrence St. Lawrence, MA 01841.
