Loretta J. Cyr's Obituary
Loretta J. Cyr, age 87 of Lawrence passed away peacefully on June 2, 2019 at Prescott House. Loretta was born in Lawrence on August 1, 1931 to the late Philias and Josephine (Auclair) Jacques. She enjoyed bingo, trips to Foxwoods, crafts, listening to music, following current events, and just being with and enjoying her family. Loretta will be remembered as a woman with deep love and appreciation for her family. She will also be remembered as a woman with great generosity and deep faith in God. Loretta was a long-time employee of Western Electric.
Loretta was the beloved wife of the late Paul Cyr. She was the devoted mother of Steven Cyr, and Joan Dumont and her husband Michael. Loretta was the dear sister of Germaine Pedersen, Leona Lavoie, Irene Ouellette, Theresa Bradley, Doris Robishaud, Roland Jacques, the late Yvonne Saindon, the late Helen Dorr, the late Anita Jacques, the late Rita Morel, the late Edward Jacques, the late Joseph Jacques and the late Chanel Jacques. She was the loving grandmother of Laura Cameron and her husband John, and David Dumont and his wife Sarah. Loretta was the cherished great-grandmother Austin Cameron, Evan Cameron and Dylan Dumont.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Friday, June 7, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Monica’s Parish, 212 Lawrence St. Methuen. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery of Andover. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105.
