Linda M. Moro's Obituary
Linda M. Moro, 67, of Methuen, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2013, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lynn, Mass., on May 26, 1946, she was the daughter of Joseph G. and Gloria E. (Merrill) Marcoux. Linda was raised and educated in Methuen and was a graduate of Tenney High School, class of 1964. She later continued her education at Northern Essex Community College, receiving her degree as a registered nurse in 1986. She worked at Holy Family Hospital from 1969-2011. In her free time, Linda enjoyed traveling and sailing. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family.
Linda is survived by a large and caring family, including her mother Gloria Marcoux of Methuen; her two sons, John M. Moro III of Haverhill and Stephen J. Moro of Exeter NH; three grandchildren, Alicia Moro, Matthew Moro and Maddyson Moro; seven sisters, Eva Mushow and her husband Ron of Haverhill, Carol Trahan and her husband Lawrence of Hampstead, NH, Janet Moury and her husband Raymond of Salem, NH, Eileen Raymond of Haverhill, Joyce Powell of Manchester, NH, Madeline McGrath of Salem, NH and Rose Robinson of Haverhill; one brother, Paul Marcoux and his wife Sheila of Pelham, NH; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Louis and Edward Marcoux. Linda will forever be remembered for the compassion and care she showed to those around her.
Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, August 21, from 4-8 p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday, August 22, at 9 a.m. at St.Monica's Church in Methuen with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
