Linda A. Allard's Obituary
Mrs. Linda Anne Allard, daughter of the late Francis Goebel and Genevieve (Norton) Goebel formerly of Methuen was born October 18, 1942 in Concord, NH. She attended St. Rita’s Grammar School, St. Mary High School, and secretarial school in Boston, MA. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church of Hampton, NH. Linda was a proud member of the Lady’s Auxiliary of the Ancient Order of the Hibernian’s in Lawrence, MA.
She was the beloved wife of Robert W. Allard for 56 years. She started her career as the secretary to the Athletic Director of Philip’s Academy in Andover, MA. After a brief career in real estate, she dedicated her life to her family. Linda was a devoted, loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She cherished moments spent with her children and her grandchildren.
Throughout her life Linda enjoyed traveling to many places and especially her annual family trip to Aruba. In addition, she loved the beach, the mountains, hiking, skiing, and playing cards and games; and above all else she loved spending time with her family.
Linda was loved by all that knew her, she was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. She was devoted to attending the many events of her grandchildren which brought her extreme happiness. She was always upbeat and never wavered when meeting many of life’s obstacles. She was extremely proud of her Irish heritage. Linda will be forever missed.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, Robert W. Allard; three daughters, Tracey Allard-Grzasko of Plaistow, NH, Kristen Alves and her husband, Jorge of Windham, NH, and Kimberly Carroll and her husband, Ryan of Salem, NH. She is also survived by her 6 loving grandchildren, Sean and Emma Grzasko, Abigail and Jack Carroll, and Olivia and Madeline Alves; 2 nieces and 3 nephews.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Linda’s life by gathering for her calling hours from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 18, 2023 at St. Monica Parish, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Interment to follow at St. Mary- Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence. Donations in her honor can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
