Lillian Frances (Anderson) Spaniol's Obituary
Lillian F. (Anderson) Spaniol, 78, of Methuen, passed away on November 10, 2018, surrounded by her loving family, at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill. Born in Lawrence on November 19, 1939 to the late George and Emily (Campionni) Anderson, she graduated from Tenney High School with the Class of 1957. A lifelong devout Catholic, Lillian was a communicant at St. Monica’s Parish, where she married her husband on July 2, 1960. She was the beloved matriarch of her family and enjoyed classic movies, bingo, and trips to Foxwoods. Lillian touched many lives in many different circles and will fondly be loved, cherished, and missed by all.
Lillian is survived by her devoted husband, Harold R. Spaniol, of Methuen, and was the dear mother to her son, Michael Spaniol and his wife Julie of Haverhill. She was the dear grandmother to Abigail Spaniol, also of Haverhill and was the cherished aunt to Stephen and Shawn Anderson. In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Spaniol in 2013, and her brother Joseph Anderson.
Visitation for Lillian will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 4 – 7 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 12 Noon at the funeral home. Interment to follow at St. Mary / Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 29 Barker Street, Lawrence.
