Laura Gravener's Obituary
Sandown, NH – Laura (Deschamps) Gravener, 47, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, on the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima.
She was born in Methuen, MA on June 28, 1972, grew up in Lawrence, MA and attended Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence. Laura was the cherished daughter of Leo and Patricia (Mills) Deschamps. She graduated from the Greater Lawrence Regional Vocational Technical School in Andover, class of 1990. She earned her SAP Certification and was an IT Professional Services Consultant for Philips Healthcare Solutions in Andover for over 25 years where she had the opportunity to travel globally.
Most of all, she loved spending time with her children, Samantha and Chris, who were the center of her world and her pride and joy. She was very close to her family and friends with whom she enjoyed spending time with at the beach and playing the card game 45’s. She loved the rain, planting peonies, and painting with her daughter. Since she was a young girl, Laura loved animals and would rescue every one she could find. Laura had a loving heart, and an amazing sense of humor, and will be truly missed by her family and friends. She was loved by all.
Laura will be deeply missed by her loving daughter, Samantha Gravener and son, Christian Gravener, Jr., of Indiana; 3 devoted sisters, Donna Barnes, and her husband, Ed, of Harvard, MA, Rachel Deschamps of Newburyport, MA, and Gail Fox of Portsmouth, NH; 7 beloved nieces and nephews, Robert Frazier (godchild), and his wife, Katie, Ryan Frazier, and his girlfriend Kaileigh, Valerie Landon and her husband, Dale, Michael O’Brien, Amanda Portillo and her husband, Danilo, Chris Fox, and Melissa Fox. She was also beloved great-aunt to Kianna (godchild), Ava, Aubrey, Zoey, and Ricardo, and she will be greatly missed by her two best friends, Laura Sammon-Bauchman and her husband, Mark, and Ann Durgin, aunts, and many cousins and friends.
